Rosalind Foo, Mental Health Advocate at Ambrave

About Rosalind Foo

Born with hearing loss, Rosalind works as a mental health advocate. She knows the barriers that persons with disabilities face when they try to get mental health support. Her work is to remove them.

Lived experience

Her own hearing loss drives her work to make mental health support more accessible and inclusive.

Guidance in Sign Language

Most counselling in Singapore runs in English or Mandarin. For Deaf people, that often means an interpreter or nothing. Rosalind offers personal guidance and advocacy in Sign Language. She has done this work for 3–4 years, through her own network.

Education

Degree in Counselling (SUSS). She keeps training in accessibility and inclusive practice.

Corporate training focus

Rosalind supports corporate workshops on neurodiversity, accessibility, and inclusive team dynamics, and speaks from lived experience.

Languages

Singapore Sign Language.
