Colleagues working away from their screens

The Attention Crisis

Digital overload

The cost of constant digital overload

The session draws on behavioural science and psychotherapy. It shows how digital habits affect memory, decisions, stress, wellbeing and how well people think. Participants learn what drives screen addiction and constant checking, and how to spot overload before it becomes chronic.

  • How too much screen time affects attention, memory, emotional regulation and mental energy
  • The psychology behind screen addiction, dopamine-driven reward loops and habitual checking
  • How to identify cognitive overload, decision fatigue and digital burnout before they become chronic

The tools come from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), behavioural psychology, attention control, habit formation and emotional regulation. The aim is change that sticks: using technology on purpose, without losing productivity or connection.
